Go big or go home, and if you’re trying to attract customers, you can’t go home. These Ekos 8” perimeter lit lightbox towers are a fan favorite at SEG Systems. As an added bonus, you can mount TVs to the towers that can be constructed as two, four, or even six-sided using our corner and cube extrusions!

In addition to the towers, Charlotte-based software company Ekos used custom lockable storage cabinets and counters with SEG fabric and laminate countertops that included pop-up charging stations. Contact us to get started on your project today!

GlobalShop 2019

Globalshop 2019

Globalshop just got bigger. In 2019, three trade shows were combined to create RetailX: RFID Journal Live!, IRCE (Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition), and Globalshop. Surrounded by nearly 1,000 booths all competing for attention, SEG Systems struck again and brought home two awards: Product Development and Booth Design Awards.

Interactive Lightbox Wall

Representing the Queen City from over 750 miles away, the back wall of this year’s booth was a lightbox montage constructed of:

21 lightboxes
SEG fabric
5 extrusion depths
7 LED lighting solutions

Landing Pad (Conference Table)

Powering the lightbox montage wall was our custom-built command center. Built in-house, this conference table in the middle of the booth surrounded LEG strip lighting that was programmed to change colors and patterns throughout the event.

The table was topped with fingerprint-resistant laminate to ensure a clean look over the course of many hands during our time in Chicago.

The centerpiece of the table was SEG’s take on a zen garden – keep reading to learn more!

Zen Garden

To highlight our extensive extrusion collection was SEG’s version of a zen garden. Illuminated by hidden front-firing LEDs, this cutout was then filled with plastic pellets and aluminum extrusions. Fidget, much?

Control Panel

With buttons, dials, and sliders, SEG Systems was able to walk customers through our lightbox technology offerings:

Back Wall

Spanning the back of the booth was a 40′ x 16′, dye-sublimated, non lit graphic.

Right Side: Freestanding Frames & Lightbox Accessories

On the right side of our booth was a collection of freestanding frames and fabric frame accessories. These frames varied in depths and sizes to show off the many options that are available when it comes to purchasing your next fabric frame or lightbox.

We sprinkled fabric frame and lightbox accessories throughout this side of the booth to highlight the endless possibilities of customization for frames:

End Caps

To bring the booth together, SEG frames were scattered around, mounted at all angles, and glorified on millwork end caps that were lit with 4.0” perimeter lighting covered with white SEG fabric.

This really helped show off the technology that SEG Systems handles on a day-to-day basis. What makes these end caps even better were the suspended, spinning, lit cubes!

If you don’t want to see lightbox feet, elevate your lightbox with a custom base. These lightboxes sat on millwork pedestals that attached to the bottom of SEG Systems’ 4.75” deep lightbox extrusion. With many millwork laminate finishes available, the customization of your lightbox base is endless.

Large rooms can often be overwhelming and unwelcoming. Divide up your space and identify areas by adding a custom millwork room divider. See-through screens divide office spaces but don’t take away from the spacious feeling, keeping an open-floor-plan feel. SEG Systems was able to produce a one-of-a-kind custom multimedia screen constructed from milled and painted MDF, encased in a steel frame for strength and durability.

This waiting room was transformed from wide open and cold to a comfortable and inviting space, making sure to leave a positive impression. Learn more about how our millwork capabilities can transform your space here.

Custom Millwork and LED Technology Centerpiece

Collaborating with Jack Porter, SEG Systems was able to produce a centerpiece honoring retired basketball player numbers at Michigan State University. As the highest honor a player can be given, Michigan State was looking for a memorable and worthy tribute for their teammates. SEG Systems built a custom millwork console using curved wood and white laminated wood with integrated LED light technology all around.

Curved frames and custom LED panels were fitted into the counter display with vinyl to create recessed lit silicone edge graphics to show off each player’s success story. On the bottom edge, green LED lighting shined around the curved console. To complete, a custom center podium was designed to support a Spartan head form with lit custom 3D acrylic lettering beneath it reading “Elite of the Elite” to create a true commemoration for Michigan State’s basketball players.
