Strategic Partnerships: Set Your Company Up for Success

Strategic Partnerships: Set Your Company Up for Success
Big businesses, startups, and nonprofits alike: partnerships are an integral part of any company’s success. We’ve all heard the phrase “teamwork makes the dream work” – and while cheesy, it’s true. When you are strategic with your business’ partnerships, you all become more successful overtime.
When it comes to picking the perfect partner for your company, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. You may start by considering a partnership with a company that could make both of your lives easier. Sounds like a win-win situation, right? But partners come in many forms, and some may even be considered competitors. Think of it at as dividing and conquering. There’s strength in numbers, and when you both set your customers up to receive the ultimate buying experience, everyone wins.
No matter how you choose your partners, just remember to be strategic about it. Partners don’t have to be family or your best friend or a shop down the street. Pick a company with shared goals and a similar attitude for how to reach the top. If you both aren’t running the same race, that partnership may just slow you down. The goal is for both companies to harness strengths and abilities of the other, all while sharing secrets that fuel growth, innovation, and creativity.
Share secrets? Are you crazy? Sounds like blasphemy. But it works. At SEG Systems, we have armed our partners with the tools they need for success. And what does the success of our partners mean? Success for all of us. Your partners will need easy access to resources that help both of you succeed. According to Salesforce’s 2018 State of Sales survey, partners said that “technical resources – pricing, service documentation, and training material – are the most critical content for them to find and use,” and that’s exactly what we are aiming to do. Equip your partners with the tools they need to succeed, and you’ll be amazed at the results.
When you think of things to arm your partners with, don’t forget about an open line of communication. Simply put: communication leads to collaboration and longevity. In a recent article by Partner2GROW, it is pointed out that “a functional partnership can strengthen the weaker aspects of your business, so you can grow and expand in a way that would have been impossible on your own.” Questions will be asked, ideas will be thought of, and both companies will be more successful because of it. Employees at partnering companies have unique strengths and innovations that will take your business to a new level.
See? Teamwork really does make the dream work. The key to our success at SEG Systems has been that we have nourished relationships and partnerships from the start. Communicating with, collaborating with, and arming our partners for success has helped us to reach levels we never thought possible.
Reverse-Load Graphics: Maximize your Space
Reverse-Load Graphics: Maximize your Space
In a tight spot? Have a frame flush against the window for the most impact. Maximize your space while minimizing your pain. Reverse-Load graphics help to get your graphics up close and personal with windows without having to worry about pulling a frame out, load it, put it back, step outside to see how it looks, and repeat.
Just as flush as vinyl, but 100% less hassle. Plus, when it only takes a few minutes to update graphics with a reverse-load graphics extrusion, there is absolutely no excuse for slacking when it comes time to change out graphics.
The Reverse-Load extrusion simply inserts into SEG’s standard lightbox extrusions, allowing you to insert the graphic for a window lightbox from the back side of the frame without the need for space between the window and the lightbox.
Just insert the graphic you want to be flush with the window, then insert the graphic you want your customers inside to see. Double-sided graphics have never been easier.

eBay x HighSnobiety NBA All-Star Pop-Up Event
SEG Systems partnered with Off Brand to bring their vision for a custom stage to life
To celebrate NBA All-Star weekend, Off Brand wanted a modular central staging enclosure for their eBay x HighSnobiety pop-up event to highlight the auctioneer’s collections, paired with a photogenic, multi-layered mixture of plexiglass, colored mirror, and light. SEG Systems was able to design and construct a unique centerpiece to meet all of these goals. The resulting stage was made up of a millwork and acrylic floor surrounded by SEG lightbox displays. The lightbox enclosure provided the perfect backdrop to interview designers and collectors from around the world in Charlotte’s own, McColl Center.
The Install
SEG Systems sent an installation crew to McColl Center the night before the pop-up event to setup the stage. Firstly, SEG Systems installed the flooring; a millwork base topped with a basketball themed acrylic floor for added stage height.
Next, we installed the SEG frames to function as the display’s walls, ceiling and support system. With support bars in place to mount the floating shelves, it was time to install the graphics graphics. In this case, the graphics were plain white fabric. With plain fabric, you can truly see how evenly lit SEG lightboxes are. The uninterrupted glow allows the products to be the focal point. Lastly, once the floating shelves were installed, one-of-a-kind shoes were used to fill the space and were protected with a transparent acrylic cover etched with each collector and designer’s name in front of their personal collections.
Throughout the evening, DJ Ria set the mood while players and personality interviews entertained guests. A digital auction was hosted by eBay including pieces from sneaker collections around the country. In attendance from the sneaker head community were Shoezeum founder, Jordy Geller, Aleali May (shoe designer and stylist blogger), and Jacques Slade.
Custom architecture and design can be intimidating, but custom doesn’t necessarily have to be crazy. This pop-up event collaboration was made up of a few lightboxes, some millwork, and acrylic. Above all, we believe a truly one-of-a-kind piece can still be functional, cost-effective, and easily installed.
Are you ready to take your event to the next level? Let SEG Systems create the centerpiece for your experience.
