To bring this concept to life, they partnered with SEG Systems^®, leveraging our expertise in custom display solutions and freestanding SEG frames. SEG Systems engineered curved SEG frames as projection screens tailored to Home Run Dugout’s needs for both mobile popups as well as upfitting their flagship location in Houston-Katy, Texas.

These custom-bent aluminum frames, paired with tailor-made stretch fabric graphics, created a perfect backdrop for the digital baseball projection experience. The curved SEG frame design not only supported dynamic projection and interactivity but also enhanced the brand’s overall aesthetic and customer experience. Durable and easily assembled, SEG fabric frames can be reused again and again at future events, helping Home Run Dugout scale its unique entertainment model. The result was a visually captivating, durable, and functional space that ties seamlessly into HRD’s immersive venue experience. The area, formerly known as the Home Court Gift Shop for the NBA Pacers, underwent a major renovation giving the space a contemporary look and feel. The raw materials, metals and vibrant lightboxes were a perfect complement to its enhanced product assortment and elevated customer experience.

SEG Systems was able to build a circular custom lightbox from our 4.0” deep aluminum extrusion profile with front-firing LED technology, which was then mounted onto a custom-built basketball court custom ceiling fixture made of steel and powder coated to make it pop. So look up and see the beauty around you or in this case a fully lit NBA Pacers basketball court!

University of Miami Immersive Experience

The University of Miami football program wanted to bring their brand to life with an immersive experience in their Hecht Athletic Center to honor more than 300 of their players that have been drafted to the NFL since 1960. Together with Jack Porter as the designers and SEG Systems as the manufacturers and engineers we were able to tell a story of heritage, success, and inspiration.

A custom millwork arch functioned as an anchor for the SEG fabric frame Lightboxes and custom Lightbox accessories. To illuminate the names of the NFL draftees, 1.5″ aluminum frames were mounted along the arch with light guided panels (LGP) to illuminate white silicone edge graphics (SEG). Glass outfitted with blockout vinyl was then kiss-cut with each players information allowing the LGP to shine brightly through while clearly and legibly displaying each message. Leaving space for future draft picks to be added was also important to the University of Miami’s football organization. They wanted to make the experience something that would continue to grow with them while also providing the most up to date information as seamlessly as possible. SEG Systems achieved this by integrating WiFi connected stat counters to showcase running statistics such as all-time passing yards, receiving yards, rushing yards, takeaways and more. To finish off the experience an infinity mirror was added using a steel shroud featuring an inset mirror. The mirror was then covered in etched vinyl to boast the lit NFL logo and expand the reflection capabilities once Perimeter LEDS were added.

The result was a brand immersive experience that combined design, integrated technology, and custom manufacturing.

Life-Size Adidas Shoe Box at Mississippi State

Mississippi State’s Football Team added a life-size shoe box to their football complex. Top Shelf Creative partnered with SEG Systems to design and build a #hailstate Adidas shoe box that stands at nearly 9 feet tall and 16 feet wide. The box is made up of 3″ double-sided inside/outside SEG frames, 8″ double-sided inside/outside SEG frames, and printable blockout fabric. Inside, there is a ceiling lightbox with backlit fabric.

NFL Atlanta Falcons Team Store

The Mercedes-Benz Stadium is home to two different professional teams, the Atlanta Falcons and United FC, with just one space for a team store. Given this dilemma, SEG Systems was able to manufacture and install displays that were able to appropriate the space for each team, depending on the event scheduled that day. Programmable LED light sabers surrounding mannequins really bring the space to life – visible both inside and outside of the store.

A ceiling-height LED-lit acrylic tower covers one end of the store, with large 3D lettering designed to be quickly changed out on game days. Frames with easily interchangeable fabric graphics enable a quick transformation from one team’s decor to the others’. SEG Systems was able to achieve the impossible, making two teams fit seamlessly into one space.
