This Johnston & Murphy’s merchandise gondola header was constructed by retrofitting a double-sided backlit graphic frame to fit seamlessly on top of their existing millwork merchandise gondola. This frame was constructed from SEG Systems’ double-sided lightbox extrusion, mounted on risers with graphics that can be changed out to coincide with the season. In order to enhance their retail experience, they upped their retail signage game by applying wood-finished SEG frames into freestanding frames and wall-mounted signage. This combination of the natural wood and the warm, soft, fabric graphics was able to produce retail signage that every customer wanted to touch.

When space is limited and stock rooms are becoming smaller, you need to find other ways to store merchandise. Our retail overhead storage merchandisers are the perfect solution to this problem.

Often retailers put overstock in the back room or on top of their retail fixtures. Not only does this take your salesperson off the floor or make your fixtures look unsightly, but it is a missed opportunity to engage with your customer right where they are. SEG Systems saw this need in the retail space and developed a custom overhead storage fixture that would increase branding within the retail environment, while also fulfilling the need for quick easy access storage.

Our overhead storage fixtures have soft close brackets that you can either slide or flip up. These solid 1.5” deep SEG frames were engineered with brackets to retrofit existing fixtures making these an easy add-on to your retail space. The best part, the SEG frames can be adorned with SEG graphics to elevate your retail space with directional, inspirational, or seasonal graphics to coincide with your promotions.

Radisson Hotel Group – Millwork Fixtures & Programmable Lightboxes

Radisson Hotel Group Custom Project & Millwork Fixtures

Radisson Hotel Group Americas needed a multipurpose space in their trendy new office location in the West End of St. Louis Park, Minnesota. To accomplish this Greiner Construction and Radisson partnered with SEG Systems to develop a venue that is not only beautiful but adaptable to their needs and serves both their employees and customers from day to night.

The café is one of the first areas you see right off the front lobby and was designed to be a fun gathering space with intentional decor elements. The design includes programmable lightbox panels made of walnut that cantilever over the room and can be customized to fit the mood. For example, brighter lighting settings would suit a work atmosphere during the day, while subtle lighting would enhance the aesthetic of a night event.

Our CNC Millwork department brought this custom fixture to life by transforming double-sided laminate panels into an engaging experience. Each of the suspended ceiling lightboxes has a front-facing perforated panel, that also matches the decorative partition wall. The unique design features 50,000 holes, drilled in a graduating pattern, that come together to make a wave illusion.

In addition to the ceiling and wall lighting/décor pieces and millwork fixtures in the café and lounge, SEG Systems was also responsible for the ceiling in the open collaboration area, and the ceiling lightbox in the elevator lobby.

ESPN Custom Millwork Football Installation

Make a lasting brand impression at your event like ESPN did with the creation of this custom millwork football installation. In partnership with SEG Services, SEG Systems designed, engineered, and fabricated this custom 12-foot-tall ESPN millwork football installation. The custom millwork structure was lit from both above and below and was constructed by using over 350 regulation footballs. This football wall served as a centerpiece for the VIP experience festivities while also providing brand presence and a larger-than-life photo-worthy backdrop.

To create the ESPN brand logo to spec, SEG Systems built a curved millwork frame with angled vertical supports to mount the footballs, that would create the logo letters. At ESPN’s request, the footballs used to create the dynamic backdrop could not be damaged or blemished in any way during mounting because the footballs were to be donated to local schools after the event was over. SEG Systems was able to accomplish this by creating custom HDPE clips that were integrated into the angled vertical supports that allowed the footballs to remain stable in like new conditions. The custom millwork football installation was then painted and wired with LED lights on the top and bottom frames to provide a dramatic, illuminated effect.
