Reverse Load Window Displays

Looking to make an impact immediately with your storefront displays but need the ease of being able to update the displays frequently with limited resources and personnel? Let us introduce you to reverse load window displays, where your only limitation is the size of your windows.

Interested, then let us explain. Prior to our reverse load aluminum frame extrusions and lightboxes, you would have to maneuver the lightbox away from the window to get access to the lightbox frame to change out the graphics. Or in some cases if you hung or permanently secured the lightboxes to the ceiling or walls then there were no options except complete removal of the display to update the graphics and a whole new installation. That could be costly and time consuming!

Reverse load window displays and lightboxes allows you the flexibility to change out your graphics from the “reverse” side – the side that is behind the front facing lightbox, so you have complete access to change out the graphics while eliminating the need to move the structure. This is not only a time saver but a great safety feature too. Knowing that you have your displays installed one time and you don’t have to touch it again except to update your graphics couldn’t be easier and a great peace of mind for the store owners and their customers.

Wondering what the other side looks like when you are inside the shop? Well, I am so glad you asked. It can look like anything you want since this side holds a SEG fabric graphic too! Who doesn’t like a two for one deal?

SEG Systems’ Commitment to Sustainability

Our Sustainability Commitment

Building with Sustainability in Mind

At SEG Systems®, we are dedicated to being a sustainable partner for your brand. Our commitment shines through in everything we do, from our innovative motion sensor lighting solutions to our carefully curated network of environmentally responsible vendors. As a sustainable manufacturing company, we strive to make green choices every day.

We understand that today’s consumers seek partnerships with environmentally conscious companies, and we share that vision. That’s why we collaborate with vendors who prioritize sustainability and actively choose to source recycled materials. With excess materials, we take our commitment a step further by recycling those materials once again, repurposing and diverting from landfills.

Sustainable Solutions

We are dedicated to holding ourselves to a higher, more sustainable standard of business, and we are committed to partnering with vendors who share that vision – across all of our manufacturing material sectors. As such, we are focused on continuing to learn and source more sustainable materials for our partners.

SEG Systems’ aluminum extrusion process has an 8KM radius from raw ore to extruded and anodized final extrusion. In a world full of overseas partnerships, our domestic supply chain allows us to reduce our carbon footprint. In addition, all of our aluminum is converted using hydroelectricity – the cleanest form of electricity. Aluminum is one of the most sustainable materials on the market, with the ability to be recycled again and again without compromising its integrity. From aluminum billet to the saw chips that we collect post-fabrication, all our aluminum is recycled.

Upon request, we source sustainable fabric for silicone edge graphics to achieve superior print quality and color expression with a greener fabric solution. Manufactured in America and microplastic-free, CleanRTex™ fabric is free from all toxic chemicals and utilizes REACH Compliant coatings. CleanRTex is printed using only water-based inks and is eco-friendly. We also offer CleanEdge™, a polyester keder solution designed as an eco-friendly alternative to silicone keders. Traditional silicone and PVC keders must be removed prior to recycling SEG fabric graphics, but CleanEdge is 100% polyester making it fully recyclable.

As lightbox experts, we are committed to LED technology and offer an expansive array of options for ultimate longevity and durability.  Do you have specific efficiency standards that need to be met? We are able to design and develop custom lighting solutions that help meet our clients’ goals at scale.

To advocate for forest conservation and restoration, SEG Systems’ millwork department sources from FSC certifiedvendors. These distributors are held to high standards to ensure their products are made with eco-friendly practices and materials.

Burn Boot Camp Retail Franchise Design

Burn Boot Camp and SEG Systems Franchise Partnership

Burn Boot Camp’s mantra is Inspire.Empower.Transform. That is exactly what they have done. They came from simple roots, a husband-and-wife team with an idea to challenge women and men to make a positive change for themselves. It started in a parking lot and has grown to more than 350 locations, 400 franchises awarded, nationwide.

When Burn Boot Camp came to us in its infancy, they were looking to find a partner that could help build a turn-key franchise program and product catalog offering that would give their franchise partners the most flexibility. SEG Systems loves a challenge, you know the saying what doesn’t challenge you, won’t make you stronger (another big Burn Boot Camps motto by the way).

Burn Boot Camp Retail Product Offerings

We dug in with them and produced retail product offerings and office décor that would fit a standard size, medium, and large franchise footprint. We also worked with them on developing three different price ranges from standard, better and best product line offerings to offer flexibility and affordability for a new franchise owner while also offering a more robust and dynamic product offering for those that wanted to elevate their footprint further.

The retail product catalog for Burn Boot Camp that SEG Systems builds and fulfills for them includes custom SEG products and millwork that could outfit an entire retail franchise location. Some of the products that we make for them include small, medium, and large retail wall merchandisers, front firing lit signage, SEG fabric lightboxes, 3D lettering to amplify their mottos, kiosks, pedestals with graphics and shelves, clothing racks, nesting tables, straight and L-shaped reception desks and trainer desks, storage cabinets, vinyl decals for walls and windows and of course our favorite, SEG fabric walls and fabric lightboxes that not only help form the very structure of the fitness facility but helps turn their mantras into living and breathing reminders of the positivity that a member should expect when they enter their hallow grounds.

What we have loved about working with Burn Boot Camp, which incidentally their headquarters is right around the corner from us is that we have been able to grow right along with them. It is why we do what we do. We love our partners and think of them as family. If you have an idea but you’re not sure how to put it all together, then we would love an opportunity to speak with you. It all starts with a conversation. We would love to partner with you and support your growth along the way.

Branding with Window Displays

Branding with Window Displays

Whether customers are window shopping or actively shopping, an effective window display is essential to draw attention to a brick-and-mortar store. Window displays are free advertisement that can shape a customer’s first impression of the store, before they even walk in.

There are many different types of window displays, each using visual merchandising techniques to attract customers. That is to say, developing a compelling display will not only entice potential customers to stop in front of your store but motivate them to go in. From eye-catching back-lit graphics to custom merchandise pedestals, SEG Systems can design, engineer, and build an innovative window display for your brand.

Open Window Displays

The ICON customization center highlights the story behind a custom design. These shoe pedestals are topped with acrylic boxes and feature an informational plaque.

Open window displays offer a clean look that focuses on the experience within the store. For example, this ICON storefront display for SEG Services and Under Armour utilized a bright, colorful lightbox around the window frame to highlight the inside of the store. With this transparent design, there is an unobstructed view of the customization center. Also, the frosted logo decals on the windows serve as a call to action to come inside.

Floor-to-Ceiling Window Displays

One of the largest lightbox displays in the USA, spanning 70’ x 20’.

Create a lightbox storefront display that attracts customers at all times of the day. For instance, these front-firing LED lightboxes are the brightest and most durable on the market, providing a floor-to-ceiling solution that stands out no matter what time of the day or night. Additionally, downlighting was installed to create a more dramatic look, emphasizing the bold colors of the Arc’teryx graphics. Read more…

Closed Window Displays

This Asics double-sided lightbox provides a branding solution from the inside-out.

Closed window displays are beneficial when a brand wants to draw attention to specific branding elements or merchandise products. For this Asics storefront, a large lightbox was paired with custom pedestals to glorify the products on display while also maximizing branding opportunities.

Interchangeable Window Displays

These custom graphics can be switched out for quick rebranding and other featured products.

Bring your brand to life by integrating multiple elements into your display. For instance, this Derek Lam 10 Crosby display for Sephora personifies the Fragrance and Film collaboration with two structures placed on either side of the entrance. On the left, the product glorifier shelf shines light on each of the featured fragrances. On the right, the mounted monitor plays a film about the campaign, bringing the two components of the collaboration together. See more…

Elevated Window Displays

The acrylic backboard was accessorized with a custom-made aluminum hoop and a steel base.

Rise above the rest with a mounted, double-sided lightbox. For example, this elevated window display for Foot Locker positioned the NBA stars at eye-level to catch attention from passers-by and in-store customers.

The Benefit of Storefront Displays

In conclusion, one of the biggest benefits of a brick-and-mortar store is having a storefront to advertise your brand. Therefore, creating an innovative window display is an opportunity to bring your brand to life and to attract customers. In addition, these displays have a large impact on brand perception; they have the power to influence the way a customer feels about your brand or even drive engagement with your brand.

Solution to any Scale Project with Largest Rollout of Extrusions

SEG Systems has built our reputation on having a solution for any scale project and a project near and dear to our hearts was also one of the largest rollout we have ever done. In fact, it was 940% larger than any other single shipment of extrusions that we have produced, highlighting how flexible and nimble we are when it comes to putting our clients first.  Due to the confidentiality of our client, we won’t name their brand, but we would like to share insight into how big this project really was.

Extrusions- Let’s Talk About Size

For starters, we produced 1.2 MILLION feet of extrusions. We’re talking 227 miles of extrusions, which is equivalent to 3,333 football fields or 1,129 Eiffel Towers! Not to mention, we produced 33,971 frames, 542,128 parts, 67,942 recyclable boxes, and 875 skids- adding up to 300,000 pounds of product.

Making It Happen

Our Solution? Go Big or go home. We went Big, 140,000 square feet big, by securing a second warehouse for this project, we were able to dedicate 40,000 sq. ft. of kitting space for this job alone. With a job of this size, we knew that size alone was not going to get the job done. We needed our people, and we needed them 24/7. After maximizing our 2-shift workday and adding in seasonal help, we were able to accomplish this rollout not only on budget and on brand, but also on time!

Why is this important to you? Because whether your project is larger than the one we just mentioned or small enough to fit in one crate, we will invest the same careful attention to your project.

“I am blown away by the hundreds of dedicated individuals who worked together as ONE TEAM to make this happen. To all the team members who touched this project, YOU made this happen! Today I celebrate YOUR individual efforts and selfless TEAMWORK!”

Reid Johnson, SEG Systems Founder

SEG Systems greatest asset is our people. Our dedicated team is made up of hard-working employees that give their all to our customers. We collaborate with our clients to understand their needs and design a solution that fits exactly what they need. Trade Show Trends

Trade Show Trends

Trade Show Trends

Are you curious what trade shows will look like in the future?

Read more to find out about the top 5 trade show trends.

Trade shows and their booths have evolved drastically in the past few years. Businesses have had to revamp their creative strategies at events to account for these changes. There are five major trends that will shape the future of trade shows.

#1 Trade Show Safety

Increased safety and sanitation precautions will continue to be the new “norm” for trade shows. Social distancing measures call for wider isles between booths, crowd control barriers, and room dividers. Exhibits will be required to follow cleaning protocols and attendees will be encouraged to utilize sanitation stations. Therefore, there will be an emphasis on touchless digital technology to encourage hands-free engagement. Similarly, booth-side pickup will be a common technique for distributing packaged promotional gifts.

#2 Smaller Trade Shows

As trade show events return, you will see that some shows will be smaller in size and more industry-specific. Regional trade shows have grown in popularity because they’re a form of crowd control, which also cuts travel expenses. In general, shows are finding innovative methods to balance social distancing guidelines with maximizing the number of attendees. For example, some visitors may feel safer by booking a time slot to visit a booth to minimize spacing concerns.

With smaller shows, comes smaller spaces. To accommodate booths of all shapes and sizes, our modular trade show displays are customizable to fit any exhibit layout. We know, that flexibility is important and having a booth that can adapt and accommodate any size floor plan is essential in todays trade show marketplace.

Because of the flexibility in sizing, a 10 x 20-foot millwork booth can be compacted into just three crates. SEG Systems’ custom crate building offers shipping solutions that ensures the product arrives as perfect as it gets shipped out.

#3 Trade Show Technology

Technology and all of its various enhancements will be a must for trade shows future. With the increase of interactive technology, exhibits will include virtual reality and augmented reality to give attendees a fully immersive experience with products/services. Kiosks and tablet stands will also be stationed throughout exhibits. At SEG Systems, we have the capabilities to integrate technology into the exhibit’s design with custom tv encasings, tablet stands, interactive kiosks, and more!

For example, artificial intelligence mapping will be used as a match-making service to give customized exhibit recommendations to the attendees, based on what services or products they are looking for.

Additionally, contactless QR codes will be stationed throughout the show and within booths. We offer a wide range of display options including counters, pedestals, and tv/tablet mounts. We also love to think outside of the box; our team can design a custom exhibit for your brand!

#4 Creative Trade Show Exhibits

To stay ahead of the ever evolving trade show market, businesses will have to get creative with their exhibit’s design to stand out. The easiest way to do this is by using every inch of the booth and design with intention.

For example, some exhibits do this by creating a controlled experience of one-way paths with directional markers, which increases efficiency and social distancing safety. These designs provide a controlled experience that creates a narrative from the beginning to the end of the exhibit. Here at SEG Systems, we utilize our in-house designers, custom steel fabrication, millwork capabilities, and fully customizable SEG frames to create a cohesive brand story.  We maximize extra exhibit space with our customizable freestanding and suspended frames.

Another strategy is to incorporate unique, eye-catching lighting. We stock 19 different types of lighting that can light up even the most complex shapes. If that’s not enough, our Nerd Herd (engineers) can design custom lighting that will make your booth “shine!” If you dream it, we can design, engineer, and build it.

#5 Hybrid Trade Shows

Throughout the unprecedented years of the pandemic, businesses and events were forced to shift to 100% virtual experiences due to safety concerns caused by the Pandemic. Since that time in-person tradeshows have started to come back but not completely. Many tradeshows to survive will need to continue to offer a hybrid approach of both in-person and virtual experiences. Hybrid shows have many benefits, including giving the customer a choice in how they participate, unlimited capacities and a new audience with global reach. Further, some exhibits will even include meeting spaces within their booth to accommodate for individualized meetings. Each trade show establishes their own attendance guidelines based on the industry that they serve.

Whether you attend a trade show virtually or in person, keep these trade show trends in mind! SEG Systems is eager to collaborate with you and your brand to create a safe and memorable booth. Check out our website portfolio to explore our capabilities and to get inspiration for your next booth.
